Drummers, Guitar Center's Drum-Off, the search for the top undiscovered drummer in the country, is back! Think you have what it takes? Do you have the skills, style and substance to be crowned the 2010 Guitar Center Drum-Off Champion? Here's what you need to know to get started.

Sign-ups for Drum-Off start August 1 and run until each of the 30 contestant spots per store are filled. You must be 16 years or older and a lawful, permanent resident of any of the forty-eight (48) contiguous United States to compete in this year's competition. 214 Guitar Center stores across the U.S. will be holding competitions this year. See the complete list of participating stores online at www.guitarcenter.com/drumoff. You must sign up with a drum department sales associate at your local GC store. No phone or Internet sign-ups are available. You'll sign up for one (1) of the three (3) weeks of preliminary competitions.

COMPETITION DATES:

• Store Prelims: September 23rd, September 30th, October 7th
• Store finals: October 14th
• District finals: November 4th
• Regional finals: December 2nd
• Grand Finals: January 2011
